Type Locality and Naming
By the predominance of sandstones, Khorezm depression. I.M.Abdurazimov in 1996.
Synonym: Paltauskaya (=Sandy) Topitsa, Песчаная т.
Lithology and Thickness
Sands, gray sandstones with layers of clays. Thickness 15-60m.
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
Lies with erosion on the Borehole Terrigenous Fm
Upper contact
It is overlain with erosion by the Paleocene.
Regional extent
Boreholes. Used in the legend of the Pre-Aral subseries to geological maps of the m-ba 1:200000, 1998.
